Key Responsibilities:
- Identify Investment Opportunities: Utilize your extensive network and market expertise to identify multifamily affordable housing investment opportunities.
- Lead Acquisition Process: Manage the full acquisition process, ensuring that investments align with the firm’s goals, from identification through to stabilization.
- Financial Modeling & Underwriting: Collaborate with the team to develop accurate financial models, ensuring all acquisitions meet the company’s investment criteria and are supported by thorough market research.
- Due Diligence Mastery: Be the focal point of the due diligence process, overseeing property inspections, market analyses, and title/survey reviews to ensure investment viability.
- Strategic Capital Management: Work closely with senior leadership to identify optimal debt and equity strategies for financing.
- Post-Closing Performance: Oversee the performance of investments after the closing process to ensure they meet expectations.
- Build & Maintain Relationships: Coordinate with external partners, including property managers, legal counsel, and investors, to drive success in acquisition projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, CRE lending, or real estate investment, with a focus on multifamily properties.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, real estate finance, accounting, or law preferred.
- Real Estate Expertise: Deep knowledge of multifamily real estate, including expertise in LIHTC and Section 8 housing, as well as financial structures like DCF, NPV, IRR, and cap rates.
- Financial Acumen: Strong command of Excel-based financial modeling, including complex waterfall structures.
- Mission-Driven: A commitment to community-focused, mission-centric housing development.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
Compensation: up to $225,000 annually
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
