What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance and Administration position at Soni?
Mission driven Non-profit has an immediate need for a Director of Finance and Administration. Reporting to the COO, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s financial strategy and operations, overseeing all accounting processes, cash management, budget preparation and analysis, management of state and federal filings, state charitable solicitation registrations, and management of the annual audit. The role will also oversee core administrative responsibilities including payroll, benefits administration, contract management, maintaining insurance requirements and broker relationships, and technology. A strong understanding of non profit accounting principles and passion for the organization’s mission are essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of seven years relevant experience, including non profit accounting experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and benefits administration
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and non profit accounting principles
- Must understand earned revenue and earned revenue streams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong alignment and belief in the organization’s mission
Preferred Skills:
- MBA, Masters in Accounting, CPA or other advanced credentials
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct and Bill.com
Compensation: $120,000-$135,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
