Our client, located west of Worcester, is looking for a Supervisor of Purchasing. This is a newly created, on-site position.
The Supervisor of Purchasing will lead the Strategic Sourcing team, managing sourcing and procurement operations to support production goals. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, contract negotiation, supplier management, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and train the purchasing team, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Analyze data to develop sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Collaborate across departments to align procurement with production needs.
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering preferred.
- 5 years of experience in industrial purchasing, including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, supplier management, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Familiarity with regulated industries (e.g., medical device, aerospace, or automotive).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Compensation: up to $115,000 annually
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
