As a QA Test Engineer in Test, you will collaborate with a skilled and enthusiastic team to deliver high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include reviewing code changes, creating and executing test plans, and designing and running end-to-end test cases. We are seeking experienced test engineers who are well-versed in modern best practices and can apply testing strategies rigorously, ensuring that quality is never compromised for speed. In the fast-evolving world of web development, we value individuals who stay informed on the latest trends and can offer thoughtful insights on when to adopt new technologies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as we work in a highly collaborative environment. Familiarity with agile methodologies is also preferred. Our tech stack includes JavaScript frameworks such as Knockout.js and React.js, Java 17 with the Spring Boot framework, Google Cloud Data Store for persistence, and deployment on Google Cloud Platform.

You have:

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development and testing within the financial services, &/or life insurance and annuity domain, strong technical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain manual test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
  • Manual Testing and implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as developers, product managers, and business analysts—to gather product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute manual tests, analyze the results, and promptly report defects for resolutions.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment of tested software.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to uphold best practices and coding standards.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving QA processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and results.
  • Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders, emphasizing key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to maintain professional expertise.
  • Complete required regulatory training and job-specific training requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Expertise in programming languages, including Java, JavaScript with AWS.
  • 5 years minimum- Practical experience with test manual testing tools.
  • Familiar with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, with hands-on experience in database testing.
  • Proficient in web services and APIs, including REST and SOAP protocols.
  • Understanding of life insurance products, policy administration, claims management, underwriting processes, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledgeable about industry standards and compliance regulations, such as HIPAA and SOC 2.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
