Soni Resources is seeking a seasoned Power BI Expert with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and their integration with Azure Data Lake via Databricks and Lakehouse architecture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering modern cloud-based data platforms and leveraging large datasets to deliver actionable business insights. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration skills to unify data from diverse systems into clear, actionable intelligence that supports strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- BI Solution Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPIs leveraging Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
- Data Integration: Implement scalable data visualization and analytics solutions using Azure Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
- Optimization: Develop and optimize Power BI models, ensuring high performance and efficient data refresh cycles.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce governance protocols to maintain consistency, quality, and security across BI platforms.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to ensure BI solutions align with organizational goals and KPIs.
- Framework Development: Support the implementation of data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and consistency.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Partner with Data Science, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Data Visualization teams to gather and refine data requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues, optimizing performance and reliability.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric Capacity (above F64), including cloud-based data visualization and analytics.
- Data Integration Mastery: Strong experience in integrating and managing large datasets using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Lakehouse architecture.
- Advanced Analytics: Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and SQL, with the ability to build efficient data models and execute complex queries.
- Power BI Service Administration: Expertise in managing Power BI Service, including Premium capacity, Row Level Security, and administrative functions.
- Business Acumen: Experience working across functions such as Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to provide actionable insights.
- Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices to support unified analytics strategies.
- Emerging Trends: Knowledge of modern BI trends, including predictive analytics and IoT.
Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
