Restaurant Team Member Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Restaurant Team Member. In this role, you will provide exceptional food service to our guests, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a clean and safe dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking Orders and Providing Food Service: Take orders accurately, make change quickly, and provide excellent customer service with enthusiasm.
- Packaging and Quality Control: Package all menu items, check for product quality and consistency, and prepare drinks and ice cream treats.
- Cooking and Cleaning: Prepare food orders, cook on the grill, operate the fry station, and clean the drive-in restaurant including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counter-tops, and sanitizing food areas.
Requirements:
- Irregular Hours and Flexibility: Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, and be flexible in all situations based on restaurant business needs.
- Communication and Math Skills: Effective communication skills and basic math and reading skills are required.
- Appearance and Hygiene Standards: Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards at Sonic Drive-In restaurants.
- Industry Knowledge: General knowledge and understanding of the food service/restaurant industry or retail operations preferred but not required.
