Position Summary :
Laboratory Scientist II position at Sonic Reference Laboratory, Inc. involves performing routine and complex extractions of patient samples and analytical techniques using LC-MS / MS or HPLC instruments. The role also entails preparing solutions, documenting procedures, and maintaining laboratory inventory.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Prepare non-critical solutions (mobile phases and buffers)
- Conduct various extraction techniques
- Independently plan and perform laboratory work
- Document procedural processes clearly and promptly
- Maintain and set up LC-MS / MS or HPLC instruments
- Monitor assays and apply troubleshooting skills
- Assist with laboratory maintenance and inventory
- Perform basic and intermediate calculations as needed
- Follow and implement policies and SOP
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field, with at least 1 year of extraction and LC-MS / MS experience.
Licensure and Certifications :
None required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to understand and communicate effectively, attention to detail, basic computer knowledge, and ability to work with interruptions and meet deadlines.
