The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the creation and implementation of strategic, multi-faceted marketing programs designed to build and strengthen the organization's role and reputation as a leader and authoritative voice in senior living.
The role will focus heavily on continued expansion and utilization of modern digital marketing platforms tailored to local-market communities, reinforcing the attributes found at each location, as well as the overall programs and services available via Sonida Senior Living communities. The Director of Marketing will devise program guidelines and policies, oversee implementation process, and provide quality control for communications programs and outreach support efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the marketing communications planning for the Sonida Senior Living brand, strategic initiatives and scalable, templated campaigns that can be executed for our local communities.
- Oversee the overall marketing calendar (including corporate, community and departmental prioritization) and production budget to keep all marketing projects on time and on budget.
- Drive continued advancements with Sonida website along with all digital and social properties to enhance the Sonida brand while quickly helping consumers understand the Sonida difference and find nearby Sonida communities.
- Lead paid digital efforts including paid search, Facebook, etc., using outside resources, internal data and overall performance to continuously improve lead generation and ROI. Work with Leadership to migrate marketing spend based on ROI, high-opportunity communities and strategic markets.
- Work closely with key-markets and high-opportunity communities to help create advanced, local marketing plans to bolster community reputations and drive qualified leads.
- Build and foster collaborative relationships with local communities and other departments within the organization to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, best practices, etc. Identify opportunities to support organizational initiatives and develop communications materials and programs to promote and publicize these activities.
- Create and facilitate best practice and key learnings across communities throughout Sonida Senior Living portfolio.
- Support Public Relations and Investor Relations efforts.
- Leverage market, occupancy and financial data to drive daily and long-term strategic decision making.
- Manage internal marketing team.
- Manage outside agencies and freelancers on new campaign development.
- Data analytics, tracking, reporting, refinement
- HR/IT/Ops support
- Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing or related field
- Minimum of 10 years in marketing with a demonstrated history of increasing responsibility
- Ability to quickly understand industry-specific marketing dynamics and incorporate knowledge into all marketing initiatives;
- Track-record of introducing new marketing programs successfully, while on time and on budget;
- Experience managing marketing teams and outside marketing agencies/contractors;
- Effective written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline
- Strong proficiency with PC programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
