Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Property Accountant with excellent organizational skills to coordinate and perform general ledger activities for month-end close. Applicants must be able to meet regularly scheduled deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly property close process
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Maintain amortization and depreciation schedules
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts in AP system
- General ledger account analysis
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Assist in special projects
- Effectively communicate with property personnel and management
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting
- Five or more years of accounting experience
- Experience with property accounting a plus
- Experience with computer-based accounting systems
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and internal controls
- Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
