The Sonnenalp Hotel is looking for an On-Call Massage Therapist to join our Spa team! This schedule varies based on demand and is a great way to fill in during the busy Winter season.
Primary Purpose of Position
Provide Spa guests with a relaxing experience by performing therapeutic massage and body treatment techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform professional spa massage and body treatments compliant with the Sonnenalp Spa standards of practice and protocols
- Uphold the standards of hygiene and sanitation as directed by law and the Spa policies and procedures
- Maintain a constructive attitude and effectively work in a team environment
- Participate in support training and staff meetings
- Assist in Spa operations as requested by management
- Correctly clean and re-stock treatment rooms
- Respond to guest special requests and contraindications
- Hold and maintain a current policy of massage therapy liability insurance
Education/Experience
- Must be a licensed massage therapist in the state of Colorado with a minimum of 500 hours of massage education from an accredited massage therapy school
- Must have a high school diploma
- Minimum 2 years of previous Spa or clinical experience is preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal history check
- Must be available to work one shift per month and attend trainings

- Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
- Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts and maintain a flexible working schedule
- Must be trustworthy and able to work under minimal supervision
Essential Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform the physical duties that the job requires
- Must be able to stand for full length of shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crawling
- Must be able to work a minimum of 6 hours per shift, 4-5 shifts per week
