The Edinburgh, IN Flexibles plant has an opening for a Pouching Assistant. This position reports directly to the Department Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborating closely with departments and plant teams to complete basic manufacturing
- Packs product into boxes, labels, shrink wraps, and stages for the fork truck operator to load.
- Retrieves product from equipment and operates machinery
- Making incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured products
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to setup new production jobs
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
- Assists other departments as needed
- You have previous manufacturing experience and/or training
- Read and comprehend standard work instructions, math and measuring
- Are able to arrive to work on time with a strong attendance record
- Have basic computer skills
- Ability to work either 8 or 12-hour shifts/OT/weekends/holidays
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and use roll handling equipment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
