This position will be primarily responsible for all systems related activities of the plant as it relates to Oracle, Myshopfloor, SPS pillar participation and liaison for computer technical, hardware and network support. The Systems Support Service Tech. will provide support to proactively drive transaction accuracy by utilizing data to develop responsive and effective corrective measures to address gaps affecting operation’s production processes. Similarly, this extends to computer equipment support to ensure systems availability on the production floor. Also, this individual will be responsible for providing on demand technical data mining as requested from management to provide insight or assisting developing corrective measures.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- System maintenance and support. Examples include: WIP Recon reviews, correction & continuous improvement.
- Material Collection review, correction & continuous improvement
- Account Alias review, correction & continuous improvement.
- Work Orders/Job accuracy including variance review, research and corrections
- Reviewing and correcting receiving issues as relates to oracle
- Support operations and shipping with Oracle & system related activities
- Manage all Oracle upgrade, maintenance and downtime events
- Support quality and management team with recall and product investigation efforts as may be needed
- Provide daily snapshot of material in Reject bucket and membrane in Quarantine, including maintaining a monthly trend chart
- Support and coordinate Oracle training efforts
- Serve as contact for Oracle Support as needed
- Data Collection: Support Oracle data collection efforts for process gap review, Validate & analyze data for SPS improvements, Support data collection reporting to management team as needed.
- Physical Inventory/Cycle Counts: Help with monthly fiscal month end closing cycle counts, Saturday physical inventory counts, Unplanned cycle counts as needed to address or correct huge gains or losses or inventory variances.
- SPS Participation: Administrative support for the Supply Chain pillar tracking, analysis of data for process improvement and reporting, Maintain and update documentation - work instructions and OPLs.
- Hardware/Software/IT Support: Serve as contact for plant wide Computer/Equipment/Software needs, Coordinate plant wide NT Account and password needs, Serve as contact point for contractor and Sonoco IT needs.

- Required Bachelors degree
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office Applications (…core productivity apps, e.g. Word, Outlook, and Excel). PowerBI would be an added advantage
- Proficient in relevant Oracle ERP software tools
- Exposure to production processes and systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact in an effective manner with all levels of the organization
- Ability to develop and effectively utilize problem solving tools, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills
- Ability to develop and effectively utilize team building skills and build positive working relationships with all employees at the facility as well as external contractors and corporate technical support groups
