Sonoma Brothers Distilling is a family owned and operated craft distillery, located in the heart of Sonoma County, and we’re looking for energetic men and women to staff our Tasting Room and Production Team. We are seeking an individual with an interest and passion for the craft industry; someone who is motivated, eager to learn, and excited to be part of a growing team. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in the distilling/beverage industry, production activities, and the temperament to work well with a close-knit team. Our current focus at Sonoma Brothers Distilling is producing our handcrafted vodka, gin, whiskeys and brandies, as well as production for our many contract clients.
Our Tasting Room and Production Associate will will have two main job duties: Staffing our onsite tasting room, and working to supplement distillery production needs. The Distillery Tasting Room and Production Associate will work with both the Director of Operations and the Owner to host distillery tours and tastings, company events, as well as help increase our Spirit Club sign-ups and customer sales.
Job Description Details:
- Provide the highest level of customer service to visitors by maintaining a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times
- Handles the opening and closing tasks of the Tasting Room
- Able to effectively multi-task and remain calm in a fast pace environment
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple groups and visitors while maintaining a friendly and inviting attitude
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail across all job responsibilities
- Maintains a clean, safe, and inviting Tasting Room and Distillery environment
- Knowledgeable on the history of spirits, our company spirits (as well as other local spirit companies), and the overall production process
- Handles routine purchasing transactions, which include operating a cash drawer and the company’s Point of Sale system
- Contributes to distillery sales and spirit club sign up goals
- Assist in answering distillery phone calls and booking distillery reservations
- Help establish customer and business relationships to maintain referrals and repeat business
- Ability to learn the company’s Spirit Club management software
- Open to assisting with distillery events as needed
- Open to participating at sponsored and promotional events off site as needed
- Open to assisting other team members with tasks as needed
- Supplementing Distillery production and processing of spirits
- Still operations, beverage production operations, and bottling operations
- Assist in creating and adhering to production schedules, preparing shipments, ordering supplies, and troubleshooting equipment performance issues.
- Forklift operations

- Qualifications:
- Tasting room, POS, beverage production experience recommended
- Hospitality/sales experience recommended
- Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid drivers license
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for up to 8 hours a day
- Able to work weekends and some holidays
- Able to have a flexible schedule
- Possess High school diploma or equivalent
- Participate in pre-employment drug screening
- Be able to operate a forklift
