What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Programs position at Sonoma County Fundación de la Voz de los Viñedos?
Make a difference while making a living!
The Sonoma County Fundación de la Voz de los Viñedos (Voice of the Vineyards) is the social sustainability program of Sonoma County Winegrowers (SCW), providing leadership/workforce development, recognition, and resources to local agricultural employees and their families.
We are currently seeking a skilled, hands-on Program Director to manage our vineyard employee programs, including our flagship program – the Leadership Academy – which imparts vital knowledge for vineyard employees to become future leaders in the wine industry and our community. Topics include sustainability, financial literacy, conflict resolution, communications, human resources, education, disaster preparedness, healthcare, and wine appreciation. The Director also orchestrates ongoing participant recognition events that culminate in an annual trip to Washington DC with the graduating class each July. This is a great opportunity to join a passionate team dedicated to preserving Sonoma County’s local farms and supporting/developing the vineyard workforce.
Qualified candidates will have senior-level administrative skills, experience in comparable program management, exposure to learning/development, strong relationship-building/in-person people skills and be bilingual in English/Spanish. This department-of-one job is full-time, onsite in west Santa Rosa with the SCW team. You’ll do a little bit of everything, from program design/management to enrolling participants and evaluating winners, to orchestrating events, to performing a variety of administrative tasks, large and small. Additional requirements include light local travel during the year, occasional overtime and annual travel to Washington DC. We offer competitive benefits and pay in a small, non-profit, start-up environment.
If you meet the above requirements and have a passion for supporting our vineyard workforce, we want to hear from you!
Compensation: From $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
