Pest Control Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Sonoma Valley Pest Control team! This is a full-time pest control technician position located in Petaluma, Ca. The ideal candidate will run a daily route, servicing and resolving customer pest concerns and issues. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining truck and equipment in clean proper working order, keeping accurate records of treatments provided, and occasionally collecting payments for services rendered. The candidate will also offer service options to customers should a need arise. This individual will be mixing, applying, and working with pesticides in accordance with State and Federal laws. A background check will be administered by the state of California on all candidates. Livescan will be administered and required by the company as mandatory by homeland security.

Duties:
- Perform pest control treatments in accordance with company standards
- Inspect premises to identify infestation source and extent of damage
- Use appropriate pesticides to eliminate pests safely and effectively
- Operate power tools and hand tools for pest control applications
- Provide recommendations to customers for pest prevention and maintenance
- Complete service reports accurately and timely
- Drive to various locations to service clients

Requirements:
- Previous experience in pest control or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of farm machinery, landscape, and lawn care practices is a plus
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively
- Strong sales skills to upsell services and products
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new techniques in pest control
