We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Laboratory Assistant - Phlebotomy to join our team at Sonora Quest Laboratories. In this role, you will assist in the collection and processing of biological specimens for testing, as well as maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with other laboratory staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting and processing biological specimens for testing
- Enter patient demographics, location, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, and other pertinent data into our computer system
- Verify accuracy of entered information and appropriateness of specimens received
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient specimen processing and testing
Requirements:
- Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
