- Leadership and Supervision
- Direct and manage assigned personnel, providing guidance, coaching, and recognition to achieve team goals.
- Initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Workflow Management
- Organize, direct, and control workflow aspects to improve processes and ensure high-quality services.
- Implement Six Sigma and Lean concepts, tools, and methodology to optimize departmental performance.
- Resource Allocation
- Schedule and manage labor and resources within budgetary guidelines.
- Determine resources needed for expense reduction and prepare input for the department budget.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure areas of responsibility meet accreditation standards with CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, and CLIA for patient care and nursing.
- Maintain laboratory compliance with OSHA regulations.
