Description:
This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and application in laboratory testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem-solving skills. As a department resource, you will assist with compliance to accrediting agency and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include the collection, receipt, and processing of biological specimens into the laboratory.
The ideal candidate will perform testing accurately and timely according to established policies and performance standards. They must demonstrate advanced knowledge and application of computer systems, theory, and clinical relevance testing. Additionally, they will ensure accuracy of test results, monitor abnormal patient and QC results, and participate in process improvement activities.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory, providing financial data for the department, and participating in contributions to additional departmental projects. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attendance, and participation at staff meetings. They will also promote a constructive environment that encourages learning and development.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or related field.
- Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy (if applicable).
- Preferred qualifications: MLS/MT or categorical certification, basic knowledge of specimen requirements, and previous experience with phlebotomy and processing.
