Job Description :
This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will serve as a department resource, assisting with compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include performing testing in an accurate and timely manner, participating in problem-solving activities, and ensuring accuracy of test results.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field, and certification (MLS or categorical).
Preferred qualifications include MLS / MT or categorical certification, basic knowledge of specimen requirements, and previous experience with phlebotomy and processing.
