Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing waived and non-waived tests in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing according to established policies and performance standards.
- Recognize and ensure validity of abnormal patient and/or QC results.
- Ensure accuracy of test results and participate in detecting deviations from defined procedures.
- Monitor and control inventory and provide financial data for the department.
- Participate in process improvements and contribute to additional department/System projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent experience.
- MLS/MT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) is preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
