What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wholesale Plumbing Supply Sales Associate position at Sonoran Plumbing Supply?
The Inside Sales Team Member strives to develop lasting, ethical customer relationships to maximize our share of the customer’s potential and meet or exceed sales and gross profit goals. An Inside Sales Team Member becomes an integral part of each assigned account, understanding the customer’s business and needs, ensuring our role as their primary supplier.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Process sales orders, bids, job information packages
- Interact with customers at our location or over the phone, providing the customer service and support to generate and close sales
- Investigating and resolving customer problems and concerns
- Assisting customers who pick up their product at our Warehouse
- Work with the customer, Sales Director, and Financial department to facilitate the payment of all accounts receivable. Communicate to the Sales Director and Financial Department any changes in a customer’s business that may cause a credit risk
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets set forth by Sales Director
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years industry experience
- Have previous experience using an inventory management system (Quickbooks, Eclipse, Sage, etc)
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Outstanding Customer Service and communication skills
- The ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
- The ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
- Have, or quickly develop, a comprehensive knowledge of product
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- College Degree or 5 years’ experience in the wholesale industry
- Experience with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand dolly, etc)
- Possess the drive to assist team members with other tasks as required
- The determination and drive to prospect new customers
- Results oriented and service minded
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to learn quickly and multi-task as well organize and prioritize work
As a typical warehouse environment, working conditions include the following:
- Climbing rolling ladders to reach products on high shelving racks
- Fluctuating temperatures according to Phoenix seasonal weather changes (evaporative coolers are operative in the warehouse to regulate internal temperatures)
- Forklifts and pallet jacks in operation
- Fast-paced activity
