Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our office and ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to quality care.
Duties
- Being able to reliably commute to work on time on a daily basis.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, Friendly manner.
- Manage incoming phone calls using multi-line phone systems, directing calls to appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for staff and providers.
- Manage incoming referrals, checking benefits and co-pays, collecting co-pays and balances.
- Uploading documents to patient chart in timely fashion.
- Faxing notes to referrals once closed.
-Review care plans and assist with health information management to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Perform office management tasks including filing, data entry, and documentation review.
- Utilize computerized systems such as Nextgen for patient management and record keeping.
- Confirming appointments 24 hours ahead for next day's schedule.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk area.
- Ability to be flexible and assist in back-office duties, and willingness to cross train, to assist Doctor as needed. Training in the clinical arena to effectively assist Doctor as needed. Possible cross training areas; Assess patients, Perform vitals, gather health history, assist in applying compression stockings and/or other devices, etc.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes is preferred and AZ Insurances
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using office equipment and computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly NextGen Office, is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spanish speaking a must!
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Knowledge of health information management practices is desirable.

- Mon-Fri: 7:30am to 4pm
- 40 hours per pay week to be expected
