Engineering Technician
This position will be responsible supporting Engineering projects and tasks to Launch New Products, Develop and improve manufacturing processes for both New and Service processes of hearing aid devices and its accessories.
This role will require :
- Safety and Quality focused manufacturing process testing / verification
- Producing conceptual, prototype or final product including operating and maintaining of tools, equipment, materials, chemicals used in manufacturing processes of Hearing Aid and its accessories.
- Work Instruction Development
- Supporting Validation Documents
- Support training material builds
- Support data collection
- Closely work with Engineering Team including local, regional and Global as per need for development and implementation of New or enhanced processes.
- Support Implementing New Processes or changes to existing processes through optimization, improvement, root cause analysis.
- Support testing, validation / verification of manufacturing processes including integrated supporting systems such as SAP, equipment and processes (Sonova's internal developed Electroacoustic Test system).
- Support Validate processes as needed per the QMS & SOP
- Support Process improvement activities to improve processes
- Leverage SAP to perform necessary activities to support the necessary projects
- Support development of all Document tied to all projects which may include but not limited to Validations, work instructions, training, etc.
- 10% Traveling
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Minimum 3years experience of electrical / Electronic or Mechanical processes
- Proficient in English
- Manufacturing Processes
- Computer experience, working knowledge of Microsoft products including Office, SAP Experience (or other ERP system) a plus
- AutoCAD, Solidworks knowledge is a plus, but not required
- Strong analytical and organizational skill
- Team player and go getter
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Able to interact with corporate development teams and present new concepts
- Able to conduct hands on experience with product and processes.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

This position will be based at Sonova US (AODC). It will require occasional travel as per need to other sites within the region - USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. There may be one off travel to other sites globally.

This role's pay range is between : $59,000.00 - 85,000.00 . This role is also commission eligible / bonus eligible.
