Financial Controller
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the business operations, financial reporting and general ledger structure for multiple reporting entities
- Enhance the existing general and subsidiary ledger account reconciliation processes ·
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance accounting and financial reporting capabilities
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed, actively participate in day-to-day Treasury activities
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve business results
- Champion an effective control environment, including the use of proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Assist in the preparation of client schedules and coordination of annual external audit and internal audits
- Partner with the sales and marketing functions via business decision making and strategic planning support
- Special projects, ad hoc analysis, and workflow process improvements as required
- Develop subject matter expertise in JD Edwards and other supporting applications
- Perform other duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with reporting responsibility for one or more entities in a multi-national organization
- Time-management, organizational skills, and strict attention to detail
- Must exhibit strong sense of ownership, accountability, and desire to excel
- Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Leadership Competencies Demonstrated ability to lead projects or teams, even if no direct-reporting relationship
