Senior Manager, Facilities
- Develop facilities strategy in alignment with operational goals and other key functional areas, including Quality, Manufacturing, Metrology/Engineering, etc.
- Support leadership with a variety of facilities research, studies, financial analysis and reports, building and infrastructure development, efficiencies and improvements, regulatory and quality system compliance and key projects.
- Manage the preventative maintenance system for all facilities equipment and areas. Review program compliance and effectiveness regularly, implements improvements.
- Administer the continuous monitoring of Controlled Environmental Areas (CEA) for pressure, relative humidity and temperature, through the Building Management Systems.
- Ensure optimal operation of purified water supply; manage hazardous (acid, nitrogen, EtO, alcohol, etc.) and non-hazardous material storage, waste, effluents and emissions, in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Plan and coordinate periodic CEA and facilities shutdowns for HVAC and equipment PMs, production line and facilities repairs, improvements and modifications.
- Responsible for security and administration of the access control systems.
- Manage janitorial and pest control programs, ensuring all cleaning activities are performed in a timely manner and per relevant quality procedures.
- Coordinate closely with EMS/EHS leader on all safety programs, sustainability initiatives and emergency action plans, ensuring compliance to OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Manage facilities vendor relationships, participate in vendor selection, negotiate terms and pricing, support execution of facilities contracts, ensuring compliance with all Quality, Purchasing and other internal policies and procedures.
- Lead/oversee projects for facilities renovations, new equipment installation or infrastructure improvements.
- Prepare business cases, project plans/Gantt charts for facilities projects, coordinate permitting and allocation of resources, oversee project execution.
- Manage daily operations and facilities administration activities including timely completion of work orders for maintenance, service and repair, recordkeeping, floor layouts, ordering and keeping adequate janitorial and maintenance related supplies.
- Coordinate the Business Continuity planning process, ensuring all relevant functions participate in periodic reviews, and adequate plans are made for disaster scenarios that may affect AB sites.
- Assist in the preparation of annual expense budgets for the Facilities department; monitor monthly expenses and prepare reports.
- Liaise with landlord / property management team for any facility related requirements.
- Perform all job duties in compliance with relevant quality and regulatory standards, including FDA/TUV Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485 and 14001.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/ mechanical / electrical engineering, science or other relevant discipline
- 10 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, with 3 years in managerial position.
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device CEAs
- Customer oriented, self-motivated, strong organizational skills and able to make decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, and ability to work with people from all backgrounds.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to understand architectural and utility system drawings; scientific, technical and legal reports; building and safety codes, standards and regulations.
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications a plus
- Fluent English
- Ability to respond to effectively to daily inquires and communications, ability to present at all levels of the organization.
- Spanish
- Strong experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, spreadsheets, word processing.

Salary : $126,400 - $189,600
