Bartender Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and experienced Bartender to join our team. The Bartender will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests, preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, engaging, and professional manner. Take drink orders and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Drink Preparation: Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer specifications. Ensure drinks are prepared to the highest quality.
• Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all tools, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately. Restock supplies as needed.
• Cash Handling: Accurately process payments and manage cash register transactions. Handle tips, change, and credit card payments with attention to detail.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, glassware, and other bar supplies. Notify the manager of low stock and assist in reordering.
• Compliance: Ensure that all alcohol service is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Verify the age of customers to prevent underage drinking.
• Safety: Keep the bar area free from hazards and ensure safety for all patrons. Handle difficult situations with professionalism, including managing intoxicated customers.
• Event Support: Assist with special events or private parties, including setting up the bar area, serving drinks, and ensuring smooth operation.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other bar staff, kitchen staff, and management to create a smooth and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (as per local/state regulations).
• RAMP certification (or equivalent) required or must be obtained before starting.

Pay:

• Hourly rate plus tips.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.43 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
