Plant Maintenance Supervisor –
Sioux County LLC- Sheldon, IA
This position is essential in the operations of our plant. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager and working with the Plant Manager, Production Managers and directing maintenance staff to ensure equipment is operating as needed.
Essential Job Duties:
- Supervising maintenance staff and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
- Manages maintenance staff by setting direction and priorities.
- Provides training and continuous development to staff.
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance, not reactive.
- Oversee the inspection, repairs, installation, modifications, and overall maintenance of the plant.
- Work with Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, QC Manager, Safety Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory inspections including, but not limited to USDA, OSHA, customer and third part audits.
- Utilize Managers Plus to track job order status.
- Maintain and enforce compliance of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Maintain quality standards.
- Maintain safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have a hands-on work ethic.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic computer skills, reading schematics, and electrical is required. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical fields such as PLCs, instrumentation, etc. is preferred. Lean Manufacturing principles are also preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, kneel, stoop, and walk to areas where equipment is located.
