Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusion and other critical care preparations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of compounded medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and inventory management.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in a hospital setting to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage, including inhalers and other delivery methods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital or critical care environment.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
