Epidemiologist

Title: Full time Intermediate-level Epidemiologist

Role: Women's Health Data Analyst

Responsibilities

Conduct rigorous data analysis, monitor maternal mortality and morbidity trends, and support health policy development.

Experience

Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or Biostatistics; Minimum of 3 years in public health data analysis or epidemiology. Expertise in women’s and maternal health epidemiology preferred.

Duties

Analyze datasets (PRAMS, vital records), prepare reports, collaborate with Maternal Mortality Review Committee.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, or STATA), and familiarity with women’s and maternal health indicators.

Responsibilities

1)Conduct assessments on data related to pregnancy-associated and maternal mortality.
2)Assess emergency visit and hospitalization data to identify maternal morbidity risk factors.
3)Design, conduct, and interpret analyses using PRAMS data and national women’s health surveys.
4)Serve as the primary data analyst for the Maternal Mortality Review Committee.
5) Lead the creation, development, and implementation of a new surveillance system for maternal morbidity.
6) Provide analytical support to Prevention Services in developing programs to reduce pregnancy-associated deaths.
7)Tailor communication of key findings to internal and external stakeholders.
8)Represent the state at national conferences

9)Engage community partners to develop collaborative prevention strategies.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
