Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in various settings, including dermatology, urgent care, and geriatrics.
- Perform medication administration as directed by physicians or nursing staff.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Support the clinic's daily operations by managing appointment schedules and coordinating patient flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center or similar settings to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care protocols, especially in medical-surgical, PICU, or clinic environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and empathy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures relevant to the specialty areas mentioned.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
