Job Description: Optometrist (Temporary/Relief)
Location: Soledad
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 months of relevant experience in the last 3 years (excluding internships) in public or private institutions.
- Current and valid California Optometry License.
- Proficient in English (oral and written communication skills required).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of facility leadership, the Optometrist shall:
- Provide complete and partial optometric evaluations (e.g., visual acuity, tonometry, ophthalmoscopy, refraction).
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as allergies, infections, and conjunctival inflammations using approved agents.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications, including for diabetic patients (e.g., dilated fundoscopy and specialist referrals when indicated).
- Perform adjustments and simple repairs to eyewear.
- Refer patients for further consultation, treatment, or surgery as needed.
- Coordinate treatment plans and collaborate with healthcare staff.
- Provide emergency ocular services during clinic hours.
- Maintain continuity and timely delivery of care and follow-up services.

Pay: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour
