Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometry professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and medical procedures, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of service and care. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their vision needs, manage medical records, and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess visual acuity.
• Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and educating patients about eye health.
• Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Assist in the management of medical coding for insurance purposes.
• Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient visits.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the practice.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in optometry.
• Engage in sales activities related to eyewear and other optical products.

Experience
Candidates should have a background in optometry or a related field, with preferred experience including:

• Proficiency in medical coding and understanding of insurance processes.
• Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality.
• Knowledge of medical records management systems.
• Understanding of physiology as it relates to vision and eye health.
• Experience in sales within the healthcare or optical industry is a plus.
