Phlebotomist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and laboratory procedures with precision and care. This role requires strong patient service skills and a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Duties

• Perform blood sampling through venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety protocols during procedures.
• Document patient information and maintain accurate records of blood samples.
• Assist in laboratory procedures, including the preparation of samples for analysis.
• Provide excellent patient care, addressing any concerns or questions regarding the procedure.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow within the laboratory setting.
• Stay updated on laboratory techniques and advancements in phlebotomy practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques related to phlebotomy.
• Understanding of physiology, anatomy, and patient care principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
• Ability to perform blood draws with accuracy and confidence.
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to blood sampling and handling.
• Certification in phlebotomy or relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
