Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in school nursing or pediatric care
- Background check clearance
- Knowledge of FERPA/HIPAA compliance
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide direct healthcare services to students
- Assess and respond to medical emergencies
- Administer medications per physician orders
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and 504 Plans
- Conduct health screenings and immunization compliance
- Educate staff on emergency procedures and first aid
- Maintain accurate student health records and document services provided
