Position Summary :
Sony Biotechnology (www.sonybiotechnology.com) is seeking a Field Service Engineer to work with our flow cytometry team. Responsible for performing installations, preventive maintenance as well as warranty and post-warranty repair services to customer equipment within the assigned service territory. This position reports to the Field Service Manager.
Primary Region : New England MA, CT, NH, upstate NY
Periodic travel to Eastern Canada and other Eastern sub-regions on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities :
- Drive Field Service Engineer owned vehicle to customer sites or Company Car to customer sites
- Schedule and perform territory service work such as installation and preventative maintenance on assigned instrumentation.
- Perform emergency repair visits in his / her territory. Is available to travel in order to help other field service representatives when required
- Communicate any product quality issues to the appropriate associates
- Interface and work closely with territory sales personnel and Field Applications Specialist personnel
- Responsible for account management, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction
- Obtain and communicates leads, identifying post instrument sales, upgrades, and accessories
- Maintain targeted and orderly inventory balance of service parts sufficient to support service requirements within assigned territory
- Keep abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work, and comply with such requirements

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $110,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.
