About the Position
Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking highly skilled professionals for the roles of AD / ADAS Validation Engineer and Engineering Lead to join our team in San Mateo, CA. These positions play a critical role in the development, testing, and validation of Autonomous Driving (AD) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies. The ideal candidates will collaborate with global development teams to ensure the successful integration and delivery of high-quality ADAS systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of ADAS systems on vehicles.
- Work closely with global development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of ADAS technologies.
- Perform and oversee driving operations for ADAS-equipped vehicles.
- Support ADAS development by participating in and managing data collection activities.
- Maintain and manage the ADAS development facility to support ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with outsourcing partners for vehicle operations and testing.
- If applicable) Lead and mentor the ADAS validation team to achieve project goals and foster team growth.

Salary & Compensation
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.
