Position Summary
As a Director, Digital Marketing & Artist Development , with the direction of the VP, Digital Marketing and VP, International Marketing & Artist Development, this individual operates as a project manager to drive and evolve the company's development of strategic and tactical marketing campaigns. You will serve as an integral part of a team responsible for creating and implementing digital marketing and revenue-generating campaigns for your assigned roster. This role operates as a project manager, communicating with artist management and providing budget oversight and ensure the effectiveness of marketing plan for an assigned roster of SMN artists.
What you'll do :
- Serve as a project manager for an assigned artist roster, developing strategic timelines and marketing plans in collaboration with SMN's promotion, media, creative and commercial partnership peers; lead in the execution of the marketing plan and evaluation of campaign results.
- Conduct planning meetings as needed, outlining specific agendas and identifying the most important next steps
- Create, develop and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns on behalf of assigned artist roster
- Grow and engage social network communities (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube Community, etc.), track and analyze social media data and consumer marketing results
- Communicate goals, strategies and marketing campaign efforts with internal and external teams to maintain expectations with Sony leadership, artists and managers
- Serve as key liaison with in-house Creative Services team to ensure visual tools support the brand and satisfy established project goals
- Create marketing budgets and provide budget oversight for all artist releases, meeting annual overhead and profitability targets
- Implement new technologies and marketing tactics geared to maximize music streaming and consumption
- Partner with and oversee various stakeholders in the development of websites, content (video, audio, graphic, text), and posting strategies for web, social and mobile
- Drive CRM strategy for assigned artist roster; employ consumer data segmentation, targeting, testing and technical integration to optimize digital marketing initiatives
- With support of the Coordinator, Digital Marketing & Artist Development, conceptualize contests and sweeps, including set-up of online forms and drafting of rules with legal department
- Develop and execute measurable digital advertising campaigns that support overall project goals and reach target audiences across all artist digital properties
