What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Sooner Urgent Care?
Medical Receptionists have a variety of different roles in the Urgent Care setting. Their role will be assigned by the Clinic Manager, and report directly to the Clinic Manager. The receptionist is expected to participate in cross training and will perform some tasks similar to a Medical Assistant, at the direction of the Clinic Manager. This is to ensure adequate vacation coverage and long-term stability of the clinic functioning.
Receptionist must have:
1. CPR certification.
Duties include but not limited to:
1. Excellent communication skill
2. Must be able to multi task
3. Perform and document vital signs.
4. Collection chief complaint
5. Complete review of systems
6. Input data into EMR
7. Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
8. Be proficient in running covid, flu, and strep tests.
9. Check fridge temperature and document
10. Clean area and throw away trash
11. Check and stock inventory
12. Answer incoming telephone calls
13. Check in patients as they have arrive.
14. Ensure contact and demographic information for each patient is entered appropriately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
15. Collect credit card payments and cash for uninsured services.
16. Verify insurance plans
17. Check fax periodically
18. Keep the waiting area clean and take out the trash.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
