- Manages the activities of the maintenance leads and team and is responsible for the overall all production maintenance and parts inventory function for the facility.
- Ensures compliance of company policies and procedures, safety regulations, GMP s, SOP s, SSOP s, HACCP and SQF.
- Works with Scheduling and Production to coordinate, plan and execute plant downtime to facilitate equipment installation or repair projects.
- Develops and maintains programs, such as Preventative Maintenance, Downtime Analysis, etc. which will enable the plant to continuously improve its equipment utilization, productivity, and efficiency.
- Mentors and motivates supervisors and technicians, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
- Communicates performance standards, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
- Ensure all supervisors and technicians have the resources and capabilities to effectively accomplish their responsibilities.
- Participates in regular meetings with plant management to discuss maintenance improvements and participates in various plant teams and committees, such as Accident Review, HACCP Team, and Food Defense Team.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology or equivalent, with 5-10 years plant maintenance experience, including at least three years of supervision.
- Extensive computerized maintenance management system knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, to include professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach, and the ability to model composure/make decisions in stressful situations.
- Proven time-management and organizational/office skills including competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams); ability to draft reports and create spreadsheets with formulas.

Plant Maintenance experience preferably from a USDA facility
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings including Structural, Architectural, PME, Life Safety, and Piping and Instrumentation drawings for Liquid and Dry process systems.
- Self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills.
- Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to interact with individuals from diverse levels within a corporation and to provide excellent customer service.

- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and an ability to learn other computer-based tools such as CMMS systems. Preferred AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of food processing equipment is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT: The work environment will include temperature variations (-10 freezer, 32-degree coolers, 40-degree plant, wet cold environment), noise level variations that may require hearing protection, wet and damp conditions, slippery floors, and both inside and outside work environments.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance operations within the facility. This includes managing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring optimal equipment performance, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Maintenance Manager oversees all plant maintenance and parts inventory programs.
