What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Software Analyst position at SOPACKO?
We are looking for a passionate System/Software Analyst to review, maintain, install and support software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to review software applications standards and technical design. Implement new software platforms that work with 3rd party vendors. Support and/or install software applications/operating systems. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
This role requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5years of experience in the field or in a related area. The ideal candidate has knowledge of ERP Platforms and systems and can use commonly accepted concepts, practices, and procedures within a SQL Database. The candidate can rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. They will work as a subject matter expert with minimum supervision. The primary job functions will require the candidate to exercise independent judgment when required as well as maintain and support the ERP System. This position typically reports to the department manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain and document software functionality.
- Integrate new systems with existing systems.
- Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
- Project planning and Project management.
- Implement new software platforms and work with 3rd party vendors.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed solution development.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff to gather and document business requirements.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; as well as participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Provide technical guidance to business users to ensure effective use of systems and applications.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Serve as a subject matter expert.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, standards, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in system support and/or Database Management.
- Hands on experience in implementing and maintaining software/system applications.
- Hands on experience in Relational Databases, SQL and etc.
- Knowledge and Experience of ERP Platforms.
- Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft Applications is a Plus.
- Installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
- Candidates should have a relevant degree or diploma within the information technology field and/or Certification or similar experience.
- Candidates should have 3-5 years of Experience
