Electronic Assembler – 2nd Shift

Non-Exempt $16.00 -$16.50 plus differential

SoPark Corporation, a contract electronics service provider supplying OEM’s with printed circuit board and electromechanical assemblies, is looking for an Electronic Assembler.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for following processes and procedures to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems to ensure maximum productivity and quality while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Locates, retrieves, follows procedures and/or work instructions; sets up workstations; masks boards; prepares components for assembly.

· Installs components while demonstrating proper component identification skills, sequence of hand placed parts, polarity, placement of large heat-producing components, resistors and jump wires as required.

· Ensures all thru-hole components are installed correctly

· Removes and replaces thru-hole components as required

· Washes boards and sends to final inspection

· Work on special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills required:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Organizational skills

Skills Desired but not required:

· Experience with circuit boards

· Soldering experience

· Experience with handling and placing electronic components

Physical Requirements/Essential Functions:

· Regularly required to sit/stand/walk for extended periods

· Have good hand dexterity and ability to reach with hands/arms

· Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

· Must be able to lift between 15 to 20 pounds
