Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II
SOPREMA is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our Liquid Resin manufacturing team. This position is a Day shift position: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (1/2-hour unpaid lunch), including Overtime & Weekends as needed.
Pay range is $25.67/hr. to $32.95/hr. depending on experience.
The ideal candidate must have experience in a Chemical manufacturing environment, be a self-starter that can produce at a high level in a team environment. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with a high regard for Safety & Quality.
Specifically, this position will be required to:
· Complete repairs, inspections, preventive work orders, and inspections in a timely manner
· Proficient in all aspects of fabrication
. Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
· Working knowledge of high and low voltage along with 3-phase electricity
. Working Knowledge of Class 1, Division 1 regulations
· Ability to perform basic wiring & installation of conduit
· Recommend solutions to reduce lost time due to mechanical problems
· Willingness to be a leader and direct others in a group setting when necessary
· Trouble shoot and diagnose equipment issues
· Familiar with & understanding of PLC operation with troubleshooting capabilities
· Working knowledge of process equipment (pumps, drives, gear boxes, etc.)
· Working knowledge of Boilers, Air Compressors, Chillers, etc.
· Able to use electrical testing equipment
· Working knowledge of Industrial OSHA requirements (LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.)
· Ensure that work area is always clean, organized, and safe
· Create & enter work orders and work completed in CMMS system
· General Facility maintenance (light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.)
· Support & assist Production Team when short handed
· Follow all EHS rules & guidelines and comply with PPE requirements
· Follow ISO 9001, ISO 18001, and ISO 14001 procedures
· Perform all other duties as assigned by management
The ideal candidate will have the following:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Computer literate & Microsoft Office (basic skills)
· Full understanding of Preventative Maintenance Process/Programs
· Full understanding of manufacturing operations and equipment
· Willingness to be on-call or work weekends as required by management
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
· Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose maintenance issues
· Must be physically able to perform repairs and lift up to 75lbs
· Ability to work in tight spaces, heights, and outdoors as needed
Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Experience Level
· 5 - 7 years of Maintenance experience in a Chemical or Liquid processing facility preferred
