AI Engineer/Research (initially remote, but will be in-person in 3-6 months)

We’re a post-PMF B2B startup with ARR growing exponentially every month. With increasing number of customers and usage exploding, we’re looking for a AI Research Engineer to help us scale our AI products.

We’re a remote team that’s looking to build our teams in San Francisco (CA), Austin (TX), and Tempe (AZ) locations. This will be initially a remote role, but will be in-person role in 3-6 months.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of full-time experience as a software engineer.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn new things.
• Willingness to work hard and drive objectives to completion autonomously
• Experience working with LLM, such as Anthropic, LLAMA, Open AI, or similar.
• Understanding Transformer Architecture.
• Experience with LLM tuning, from prompt engineering, instruction tuning, RLHF, parameter-efficient tuning.
• Experience with embeddings, and tools like langchain, pinecone etc.
• Experience with the modern ML stack (e.g., TF2, Jax, TPUs).
• Experience scraping and incorporate data at scale from public and private sources.

• If you are great at product.
• You have shipped a product end-to-end (from frontend to backend/API).
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails (web app).
• You are a self-starter who doesn't need to be micromanaged.
• You are persistent and determined. You are the type of person who will go through walls to get the job done.
