JOB DESCRIPTON:
The Carpenter position install toilet partitions/accessories, closet shelving, wall protection, doors/hardware, expansion joints, and other Division 10 work, carpentry and millwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Read and follow architectural blueprints to install materials and finished product at their official designation
- Expert knowledge on power tools and their appropriate uses
- Handle weekly safety talks with your crews
- Attaches and joins materials with the appropriate fasteners
- Quality control and quality assurance
- Regular communication with on-site customers and contractors providing real time updates
- Adheres to OSHA regulations and local building codes and guidelines
- All other job duties as assigned
SCHEDULE:
- Typical hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm but can vary due to specific project requirements
- Some travel may be required
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Read and follow architectural blueprints to install materials and finished product
- Use of power tools and hand tools (cordless, corded, and pneumatic) and understanding what tools are best suited for the job at hand
- Attaches and joins materials with the appropriate fasteners
- Knowledge of carpentry installation principles and methods is preferred
- Quality control and quality assurance
- Communication with Superintendent and Project Management team providing real time updates
- Works well as part of a team
- Adheres to OSHA regulations and local building codes and guidelines
- All other job duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous construction experience is preferred
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certified (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
