Level II: Requires 4 years related experience - Executes engineering projects as a team member with clear direction from senior engineers and senior management. Analyzes processes and provides metrics supporting process improvements and new designs. Ability to compile and present project status or equipment comparisons with clear precise details. Has a strong understanding of the various SEI processes and manufacturing standards.
Level III: Requires 8 years related experience - K nowledge of architectural designs, building codes, and construction/project management principles. Responsible for making key project decisions and solving complex engineering problems with a high level of knowledge in applicable disciplines. Assists in training team members in related responsibilities. Creates and reviews system and instrumentation diagrams for planning and implementation. Collaborates closely with senior engineers and senior management.
Essential Job Functions:
Support management and organization of replacement and preventative maintenance parts for facilities’ capital equipment.
Coordinate with multiple vendors for equipment/cost comparisons.
Review manufacturer maintenance requirements and create work instructions for maintenance personnel.
Support maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of equipment and processes, coordinating with service technicians and machine manufacturers where necessary. Preempt and review equipment and system failures to implement engineering controls and corrective actions.
Communicate project status regularly with senior engineers and senior management.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of company information.
Create, manage, and maintain accurate file updates of electronic records in SEI network.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to accurately track inventory and manage files and electronic records.
Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of engineering or construction procedures.
Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work issues, interpret instructions both written and oral.
Able to communicate effectively in English.
Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred or related industry experience. Knowledge and experience with general office systems and procedures. Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting required.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects and to occasionally exert push force up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must have good eyesight and hand dexterity and be able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Environment: Within safety guidelines, there will be exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $55,120.00 - $132,510.00 / annually. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
