JOB DESCRIPTION
The Legal Clerk position works with the Legal Assistants to correctly organize and maintain a tracking system for electronic files. This position is also responsible for clerical work within the office and serves in a support role to the Legal Assistant position.
Essential Functions
- Organize and maintain the filing system for all electronic files.
- Work with Legal Assistant position to accomplish daily filing tasks.
- Perform clerical work including but not limited to photocopy and scan materials and performs recording function for Post-Judgment Legal Assistants.
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- Attend work as scheduled.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work are between Monday and Friday with a pre-approved schedule.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Requires up to one year of experience in a similar clerical position.
- Computer skills basic proficient in MS Office, web applications, and some hardware knowledge.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Up to one year office experience is preferred.
