Other Key Relationships : Developers, Quants, Systems, Business Users, etc.
Major Responsibilities
- Participate in 24x7 coverage and support for critical systems, responding to production issues and coordinating escalation and post-mortem analysis
- Monitor systems and processes for availability / performance and assist with the design and implementation of a unified strategic monitoring and alerting platform
- Understand and document the relationships between financial / business requirements and the systems and technologies that serve them
- Create and maintain playbooks for failure scenarios and disaster recovery planning.
- Clearly document new and existing systems at a high level in terms of support requirements, upstream and downstream dependencies, and criticality to the business
- Communicate status of any ongoing issues to technology personnel, business leaders, and senior management
- Participate in evaluation, testing, and introduction of new technology and approaches to the organization
