Sorrel is looking for a motivated Assistant General Manager to join our management team! We are looking for someone who can develop personal and long-term relationships with our team and wants to be an integral leader in a growing restaurant.
At Sorrel we strive to push the envelope when it comes to Northern California culinary excellence in a One Star Michelin setting. Since we opened in April 2018, we have focused on cultivating an environment where our guests feel like they are part of something memorable. We are looking for a leader to join our team that will continue to find new ways to innovate and improve the experience at Sorrel for guests and staff alike.
The AGM, under the direction of our General Manager, is responsible for the following:
- Assist the General Manager (GM) in overseeing front-of-house (FOH) operations
- Coach, train, and mentor FOH staff to uphold Michelin-level service standards
- Ensure flawless and personalized guest experiences from arrival to departure
- Wine knowledge and training
- Reservation system management
- Overseeing opening and closing procedures
- Collaborating with Beverage Director and GM to oversee beverage service
- Manage inbound guest communications (email and phone)
- Assist in private dining and off-site dinner execution (collaborate with events manager and Chefs)

3 years. Michelin experience and Sommelier Certification strongly preferred.
