We are a Tier 1 and Tier 2 international automotive supplier with global offices and production sites in eight countries. We specialize in the development and manufacturing of engineered automotive exhaust components. Additionally, our subsidiary MH Technologies has recently developed Zleaktube technology, used in electric motor housings, converters, inverters, E-Battery packages, and more. Position Summary:
This role is responsible for understanding our products and managing company resources to ensure successful completion of specific automotive applications. The Account Manager will work closely with the International Business and Product Development Teams at our headquarters to drive product development and sales. This individual will serve customers by identifying their needs and adapting products, equipment, and services to meet their requirements.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify current and future customer business requirements by establishing rapport with potential and existing clients. Provide product and engineering information by answering inquiries.
- Develop new business opportunities and build strong relationships under the direction of the Sales Manager and President.
- Establish and service accounts by identifying potential customers and organizing sales schedules.
- Prepare cost estimates by reviewing blueprints, plans, and customer documents in consultation with engineers.
- Provide feedback and updates to the Sales Manager and President on sales activities and competitiveness.
- Analyze cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications to recommend process improvements.
- Gain customer acceptance by demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting and analyzing market trends.
- Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering and purchasing teams.
- Document customer visits, sales reports, and maintain records of sales activities.
- Evaluate product performance improvements or cost reduction opportunities and implement solutions.
- Gather and analyze competitive market information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline.
- Ability to travel locally, out-of-state, and internationally.
- Experience in automotive program management and sales.
- Strong problem-solving, sales, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a multicultural environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive products and processes.
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive-related experience or training.
- Knowledge of automotive component development processes.
- OEM sales experience.
