We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to oversee and manage our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in administering HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures; maintain employee handbook.
- Set and achieve department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Serve as Head of Section (HOS) for the HR department, managing programs and functions.
- Provide guidance to management on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including claims processing and policy updates.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with EEO, payroll, insurance, and 401(k) regulations.
- Lead recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Foster a positive employer-employee relationship and maintain high employee morale.
- Handle performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Manage Worker’s Compensation and safety programs, ensuring proper documentation.
- Coordinate management training in hiring, performance reviews, safety, and compliance topics.
- Oversee payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
- Drive Core Value Initiatives and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate with department heads to enhance company-wide communication and efficiency.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of HR experience, including 5 years in a managerial role.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and sit for extended periods when required.
